Reporting Services: Hiding a value

I had two levels displaying in a report. The top level had a transaction ID, and the bottom level has associated actions with that IDs. The hierarchy was like so:

12345
ABC
12345
DEF
12346
XYZ

I wanted it to appear like this:

12345
ABC
DEF
12346
XYZ

See, no second “12345” value. Through the magic of the SSRS Previous function, I was able to hide by modifying the Visibility property of the TextBox that held the transaction ID. I added this expression:

   =IIF(Previous(Fields!TransId.Value) = Fields!TransId.Value,True,False)

Worked great.
